Edited to add:
I'm not just referring to close friends.
So there is nothing more annoying than being invited out to dinner to celebrate something and people order whatever they want, drinks, apps, whatever...and you are more on a budget and so you keep your tab to a minimum, then the bill comes in and the host tells everyone they are splitting the whole entire tab/bill equally amongst the guests.
WTF? Don't you think that should be established before everyone orders or even goes to the dinner/event?
My BF and I will be going to a dinner tonight at a very expensive restaurant, and I do not intend on spending $20 on a meal plus $30 worth of drinks each so I will be pissed if this happens to us tonight.
Has this happened to you?

A couple of us that shared dishes were shocked
and perturbed and spoke up about it, and it caused an argument and she made us out to be cheap. It was pretty bad, and I just don't understand people who
think that it's ok do expect that.
