I have to give a presentation on Thrusday for poly sci about banning minors from buying caffeinated beverages containing more then 50mg of caffeine. This is
the stupid topic my group picked. We are presenting pros and cons. I'm on the side for limiting caffeine. What negative effects do you see when your kids
have to much caffeine?

Tooth decay has nothing to do with the caffeine though...you may want to eliminate that unless this is for sugary beverages too. It would seem to be straying
from the topic at hand.
As far as the effects of caffeine, it just caused my daughter to be a bit hyper. I would mention that addictiveness of caffeine. Even as an adult, I know I'm addicted as I get a headache when I don't have caffeine. Same thing happens in kids. |

We are saying tooth decay is a result of sugar and most caffeinated beverages have high sugar contents.

Perhaps heart issues? Too much caffeine can cause the heart to beat at a faster pace and this could have long term effects.
