Is this a good deal on a laptop (Black Friday)

People say that eMachine computers aren't that great. But I'm going to try to get that same computer on Black Friday. I'm not engineering software
over here.

My brother in law got an e-machine and for what he uses it for, it works fine. The thing that would concern me is the 2GB of RAM though. I'd make sure you
could upgrade to 4GB at some point.

That's a great deal but it's probably just for the basics (internet, music, etc...)

No, not really -- but if you don't need it to function as much more than a netbook it might be alright.

I'd just spend a little bit more ($298) and buy the HP G60-519wm from Walmart.

If you just need/want a computer for the basics [internet, homework..or what have you] then it'll be fine. A computer is a computer. It's not the best
out there, obvi, but it'll work for the basics just fine.

I wouldn't worry too much about the 2GB of RAM. The only thing I would want is a dual-core processor (which the one posted doesn't have). For $198 you can't go wrong though
