I bought a pair of earrings there (Costume jewelry'ish earrings) for like $14.99. I went to put them in my ears last night and the back literally fell of.
It was only the second time I'd worn them. I bought them last weekend. However, I threw the backing they came on out.
Do you think Target will take this as a return?

I would say no. They need the bar code of the item to be able to return it.

probably not.. that means they can't scan it in. I know they can look up purchases on your card (if you used a card) but idk if it'll show all the info
or not.

I have the receipt for the earrings because I bought other items while I was there but the packaging got thrown out in South Carolina because I didn't
anticipate them to fall apart that easily. Kind of sucks because while they were only $15, they can't be worn.

You can try. At least they might just do an exchange maybe?

I'm cool with an exchange. I actually liked the earrings for fun night's out!
